
Theatre Royal Margate is taking part in the Shakespeare Schools Festival, in partnership with the Shakespeare Schools Foundation, this month.
The show will feature a series of unique abridged Shakespeare productions by youngsters from Thanet schools.
Shakespeare Schools Foundation is a charity that transforms lives through the unique power of Shakespeare. The annual festival provides a platform for up to 30,000 young people to express themselves and grow in confidence as they take to a professional stage.
For the 19th year of the festival the schools performing at Theatre Royal Margate are:
Wednesday 13 November:
King Lear: Bradstow School
Macbeth: St. Gregory’s Catholic Primary School
A Midsummer Night’s Dream: Chatham and Clarendon Grammar School
Thursday 14 November:
Macbeth: The Goodwin Academy
Romeo and Juliet: Palm Bay Primary School
A Midsummer Night’s Dream: St. Peter-in-Thanet CE Junior School
The festival is on stage on November 13 and 14, start time 7pm.
