Police seize 154 cannabis plants from Westgate property

Some of the cannabis bagged up for evidence

More than 150 cannabis plants have been seized from a property in Westgate-on-Sea.

Officers from the Thanet Community Policing Team came across the grow during a routine patrol in Ethelbert Terrace yesterday evening (November 6) and seized the plants overnight.

In addition to the 154 plants, officers also uncovered evidence to suggest an electricity meter had been bypassed and the scene was made safe by a utility company.

At present no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
