Appeal for witnesses after teen robbed of bike and phone in Margate

Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after a 15-year-old boy was punched, kicked and robbed of his bicycle and smartphone in Margate.

The incident happened in Northdown Park Road, near the junction with Green Lane, at about 6.10pm on Monday, October 21.

It was reported that the victim was punched and kicked by two young men who approached him on mopeds.

He was then threatened with further violence and forced to give up his Voodoo Rune BMX and iPhone.

The suspects are reported to have left with a number of other people who arrived at the scene in a dark coloured car.

Kent Police officers have followed a number of lines of enquiry including house-to-house visits and a review of any CCTV or dashcam opportunities. They are now appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to them to also come forward.
