Police appeal after woman in 50s assaulted in Margate

An efit has been released by police after a woman in her 50s was assaulted in Margate.

The woman was walking along Addington Street when a disturbance involving a group of people broke out near her.

During the incident the woman fell to the ground where she was assaulted by a man. She suffered a cut to her wrist which needed hospital treatment.

The assault is reported to have taken place between 6pm and 6.50pm on Wednesday, October 9.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who might recognise the man pictured in the efit or if they were in the area at the time of the disturbance and have not yet spoken to police.
