Police appeal for mobile phone footage and witnesses to assault in Dreamland

Police are appealing for witnesses and mobile phone footage of an assault that took place at a drum and bass night at Dreamland on August 31.

It was reported that a man in his 20s was assaulted by a number of men while attendingthe event. The incident was said to have taken place in the main arena at around 9pm.

The victim suffered injuries to his jaw.

Officers have been looking at a number of enquiries, including reviewing CCTV footage from the night.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Vanessa Law said: “Although the assault was not reported to us until a number of weeks after it had happened, we understand the event was very busy and people might remember seeing the assault.

“We are asking anyone who was there during the night and witnessed the incident, or perhaps captured it on their phones, to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/180041/19.
