A public meeting will be held in Ramsgate tomorrow (September 27) to discuss child and adolescent mental health.

It has been arranged by Councillor Karen Constantine and follows a gathering in July for residents to talk about their concerns over mental health services in Thanet.

Since that meeting a mental health summit was held at the Winter Gardens this month and an announcement made about a successful £4million funding bid to provide a safe haven, crisis café and extended services in thanet and across the county.

Cllr Constantine said: “We want to hear from anyone concerned about support for themselves or a child or adolescent. We know it can be a real struggle getting the right help and support.”

Those present will include Ailsa Ogilvie, Director of Partnerships and Membership Engagement. NHS Thanet Clinical Commissioning Group, Dave Holman who leads on behalf of the seven Kent CCGs and also Yvonne Norley and Brid Johnson of the North East London Foundation Trust.

The meeting will be at the Comfort Inn in Ramsgate from 6.30pm – 8.30pm

Both young people and adults are welcome.
