Police appeal following death of man in A256 crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following the death of a man in a crash on the A256 at Eastry.

Kent Police was called at around midnight yesterday (August 16) after a silver Ford Fiesta collided with a roundabout. The driver of the car, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene and his next of kin has been informed.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was also called to the single car crash. Crews worked with other emergency services including SECAmb and Kent Police. Firefighters used rescue cutting gear to free the male driver from the vehicle but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crews made the scene safe.
