Peter Pan is back, bigger and more raucous than ever before at Theatre Royal Margate

This August, British Youth Music Theatre, the UK’s leading musical theatre company for young people, is bringing to Theatre Royal Margate a terrifically modern musical adaptation of J.M.Barrie’s classic tale, Peter Pan.

Created by Nick Stimson (Theatre Royal Plymouth), and Jimmy Jewell (Royal Plymouth, Royal Academy of Music), and brought to life by an exceptional young company of emerging talent coming from all corners of the British Isles; this truly memorable family show takes us back to the magical heart of the story.

BYMT’s acclaimed creative team and young performers will be working together to recreate the vivid and magical world of Neverland, a place where children become adults and adults become children again.

Director Sarah Ingram said: “Peter Pan is a story of adventure, bravery and unlimited imagination. Our amazing young cast have all that in spades. I am beyond excited about this new and innovative production of a well-loved classic.”

Lexi, 13, from Essex, who is part of the aspiring young cast, said:  “I am so excited to be a part of BYMT because I love musical theatre! It is an amazing opportunity to be a part of such a great show.”

Embark on a journey to Neverland with the boy who never grew up, his trusty sidekick Tinkerbell and the cunning, cowardly Captain Hook with his motley crew of pirates. We guarantee you’ll be humming the show tunes all the way home: An Awfully Big Adventure, If I’d Stayed at Home with Mother, You Must Believe in Magic and many more!

Peter Pan is at the Theatre Royal from August 16-18, various show times.
