Emergency services have attended a two vehicle crash in Westbrook.

Police and Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called at 4.42pm to the incident on Canterbury Road.

A KFRS spokesperson said: “We were called at 4:42pm to Canterbury Road to reports of smoke coming from a vehicle. When firefighters arrived on the scene they found a two vehicle crash.

“One man had managed to get out of his vehicle, a second man was still in his vehicle. Police were requested for traffic control purposes.  Firefighters assessed both casualties and the second man, believed to be about 30 years old was later walked from his vehicle by ambulance crews.”

Kent Police said the road was blocked until both vehicles were recovered at around 8.40pm.
