An area of King George VI Park in Ramsgate is currently cordoned off by police this morning (June 4).

Officers and forensics are at the scene and a cordon has been put around the children’s play area.

Officers have been at the scene since around 5.30am.

Police have confirmed emergency services were called after a man’s body was found in Ramsgate this morning (June 4).

Officers, forensics and the ambulance service were called to King George VI Park play area at 5.49am.

A police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called to King George VI Memorial Park in Ramsgate at 5.49am where a man in his 30s was found deceased.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”

A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called shortly before 6am today to King George VI Park in Ramsgate. Ambulance crews attended and a man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.”
