Cub group members pitch in to clean up Margate Main Sands

10th Margate St Paul’s cubs

Youngsters from the 10th Margate St Paul’s cubs group have been doing their bit for the environment with a beach clean.

The group cleared Margate Main Sands on Monday evening.

Cub leader Mark Battersby said: “After seeing the impact that rubbish/plastic is having on the sea in blue planet we decided as part of our community impact badge we would do a beach clean. Hopefully this has helped to teach the cubs the importance of putting your rubbish in the bin and maybe even inspire others to think about taking there rubbish home or even doing a beach clean themselves.”

10th Margate (St Paul’s) meeting hall is in Brockley Road, Cliftonville.

The group is looking for new cubs to join up, aged 8 to 11 years. The group meets Monday’s during term time form 6.30pm to 8pm and can be contacted on 07715664489 for further details.
