It has been a busy weekend in Thanet and isle photographer Frank Leppard has been whizzing between towns to capture some of the action on camera.
On Saturday in Margate runners took on the brutal, one-mile beach race battling through sand – and a treacherous series of obstacles – to make it to the finish. Competitors took on trenches, rollers and whopping sandcastles.
On Sunday, in Ramsgate crowds flocked to Ellington Park for the May fair, enjoying the dog show, classic cars, music and stalls (as well as the beer tent!).
There was also fun as teams battled it out to take the crown as winner of Pilgrims Hospice It’s a Knockout on Government Acre.
