Two arrests have been made in connection with 11 burglaries and attempted break-ins in Thanet and the surrounding area.
The two 26-year-old men from Ramsgate were arrested this morning (May 9) on suspicion of burglary.
Their arrests follow reports of the incidents which mostly took place overnight between Sunday and Monday, May 5-6.
The offences are reported to have taken place at businesses in Thanet, Deal, Herne Bay, Whitstable and Canterbury. Safes were thrown from the bridge at the Chine in an apparent attempt to break them open.
The two men currently remain in custody while enquiries are ongoing.
Incidents:
A burglary at an office in Alland Grange Lane in Manston between 4am and 4.20am on 6 May where the door was damaged but nothing stolen. (46/85706/19)

A burglary at commercial premises in Margate Road in Broadstairs at around 2.50am on 6 May. Nothing was reported stolen. (46/85654/19)
A safe was stolen during a burglary at a social club in Camden Road, Ramsgate at around 4am on 6 May. (06-0421)

A safe was reported stolen during a burglary at an industrial unit in Pysons Road, Broadstairs at around 2.30am on 6 May (06-127)
A safe and GPS devices were reported stolen from a shed in Betteshanger Country Park, in Sandwich Road, Sholden overnight between 5 and 6 May. (06-0338)
A container was broken into in Chestfield Road, Whitstable between Friday 3 May and Saturday 4 May where confectionary was reported stolen. (06-0384)
A window was smashed at Grove Ferry Boat Club in Canterbury overnight between Sunday 5 May and Monday 6 May where cash was taken. (06-0303)
A burglary at Wildwood gift shop in Herne Bay overnight between Sunday 5 May and Monday 6 May. Enquiries are ongoing to determine what has been stolen. (06-0276).
