Two men from Thanet and Canterbury will appear at crown court on June 3 after a firearm was seized by Kent Police officers when they stopped a car on the A28 in Sarre.
Police on patrol stopped and searched the vehicle just before midnight on Wednesday, May 1 and the weapon was discovered.
Robin Ling, 24, from Beach Road, Westgate-on-Sea was arrested along with Charlie Anderson, 24, of East Street, Canterbury.
The pair were subsequently charged with the possession of a firearm and ammunition as well as conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm. They have been remanded in custody and will next appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, June 3.
