Cracking value: The £1 roast at The Brit

It is the end of the £1 Sunday roast at The Britannia  pub in Margate – for now.

The promotion attracted hundreds of bookings as punters flocked to try out the bargain dinners following the brainwave by landlord Paul Rollins.

The piled high plates had all you would want – mounds of beef or turkey, roasties, stuffing, veg, Yorkshires and even cauli cheese.

But Paul and barman Horace have decided it is now time to tempt customers in with new offers.

This Sunday (March 31) punters can treat their mums to a three course meal for £12 (bookings only). There are also bingo, pie and mash nights for a fiver every Tuesday from 7pm and whole chicken, chips and coleslaw for £7 every Thursday from 2pm.

As  for the roast, Paul says it may make a return later in the year so watch this space!

Meals are bookings only by calling 01843 280609. Find The Britannia on facebook here
