Festability music event is heading back to Quex Park

Festability at Quex

Festability is heading back to Quex.

The event was launched last year by three parents of disabled children, who wanted to organise a music festival for people with disabilities living in Kent.

The first festival at Quex attracted 1,700 people and it is hoped this will be repeated with attractions including The Autistix, who were recently on The One Show, a quiet/chill zone with sensory lights and sounds, a changing places suite, BSL Interpreters, qualified staff to help assist and a karaoke tent.

Although the event is aimed at disabled people, it’s open to the whole community to attend and share the day.

A festival spokesperson said: “This will be a spectacular event that disabled people may not have had the chance to enjoy before and we encourage everyone to join us to make this a truly inclusive music festival unique to Kent.”

Festability takes place on May 11 at Quex Park, Birchington from noon-8pm. Tickets cost from £15 and go on sale next month.
