Royal Harbour Academy students take to the stage

RHA Showtime

Performing arts students from the Royal Harbour Academy in Ramsgate joined peers from across the Coastal Academies Trust this week for a stage showcase.

The RHA Showtime students  performed two numbers. Eloise sang ‘I’d Rather Go Blind’ by Etta James accompanied on the piano by Emelie and a Blood Brothers Medley was performed by Year 10, 11 and 12 performing arts students, Rachel, Emily, Lara, Cassie, Kamille, George, Morgan, Charlie, Sean, Brooklyn, Cornielle, Sophie, Callum and Jack.

This followed the storyline of the award winning musical, Blood Brothers, which is studied both in drama and English. The students involved captured their audience and took them through an emotional and spell bounding journey. The show was compered by student Reuben.

Performing arts teacher Christelle. Young said: “I could not be more proud of our students. They work so hard to perfect their skills and performance and are an absolute joy to work with. Each student involved is amazingly talented and each one of them added to the success of the night. They are a credit to our school.”
