Engineers have been called out to Broadstairs after a bike was thrown on the rail tracks today (January 26).
Trains are being delayed due to the obstruction on the line between Broadstairs station and Dumpton. Track engineers are assessing the damage.

A Southeastern employee said: “Unfortunately someone decided to throw a bike on to the track, which then caused damage to the track where it shorted between the conductor rail and running rail.”
UPDATE: Trains are now running again.
