The Rotary Club of Margate and the Isle of Thanet Sunrise Club have delivered 74 Christmas dinners to elderly and vulnerable citizens in the community. This vital service is only possible due to the overwhelming generosity of the general public during the recent Santa sleigh visits.
Every year Rotary members volunteer to brave the cold and visit Thanet children in their streets. This year the Rotary Club of Margate visited some 55 streets, delighting children and parents alike.
A spokesperson said: “We would like to thank the general public for their generosity and also The Oak Hotel, Ramsgate for preparing the Christmas meals.”
