Detectives have released the description of a man they want to speak to in connection with a robbery in Margate.
A man in his 50s was delivering newspapers at 5.20am today (December 12) when he was pushed by the suspect and his green and blue Apollo mountain bike and a rucksack containing a mobile phone, bank cards and cash were stolen.
The suspect, who rode off on the bike towards Park Road, is described as being aged between 18 and 21 and 5ft 10in to 5ft 11in tall. He was of medium build and was wearing dark clothing including a hooded top. He spoke with a foreign accent.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the description of the suspect or the stolen bike. If you can help, please phone Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting reference number 46/22413/18.
Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers in Kent anonymously on 0800 555111.
When he is caught and justice served we need to Brexit him away.
There are enough criminals in the country without more from abroad joining in. This is the third I have read of foreigners committing crime in Thanet in past few weeks.
Its getting bad. Bike theft has clearly increased & now you are saved the bother of securing it too. This & other crimes need to be dealt with before it gets even worse.
White? Latin? Black? Asian? Indian? Dont be scare to describe the suspect.
