Beautiful mosaic birdboxes have been created by volunteers from the Western Undercliff Regeneration Group.
Ten boxes have been decorated and installed in spaces across Ramsgate by wildlife enthusiast Nik Mitchell ready for when birds begin nesting in the Spring.
The first box went up in Spring this year at The Chine and, after it became home to a family of Blue Tits, the group were inspired to make more for next year.
Volunteer Maxine Morgan said: “I made the original bird box a few years ago and gave it to Nik. I wasn’t sure if the birds would like it but within weeks we had a family of blue tits.
“So, from there I contacted a few members of the Western Undercliff Regeneration Group and asked if they wanted to learn how to mosaic.
“We managed to get 10 boxes at a very good price and between a few of us who had experience with mosaics, we had all the materials needed to decorate them.”
There are boxes at The Chine, Ellington Park, King George VI Park, Boundary Park and Station Approach.
The group is encouraging residents to look out for the boxes and share their photos on social media when birds move in.
