Stars in Their Eyes finalists to perform at Beacon Bingo in Margate

Beacon Bingo Margate will host a Stars in Their Eyes event on November 24; bringing together a number of finalists and winners from the successful ITV series for the first time since the 1999 Champion of Champions series.

Stars in Their Eyes ran from 1990 to 2006, attracting over 13 million viewers for each live grand final.

Already confirmed for the evening are Jacquii Cann, Lee Griffiths, Paul Doody, who is from Westgate, and Jason Searle, who won the 1993, 1995, 1996 and 1998 series’ as Alison Moyet, Bobby Darin, Marti Pellow and Neil Diamond respectively.

There will also be seven surprise acts confirmed on the evening, closing the night with their show songs.

Graeme Corner, general manager of Beacon Bingo Margate said: “Back in its hey-day, Stars in Their Eyes was absolutely huge, and this event is shaping up to be one of the biggest we’ve ever held. Tickets are selling at an amazing pace, so if people want to get their hands on one, we’d suggest buying as soon as possible or face missing out. This night Matthew, is not one to be missed!”

The event will start at 7pm, with the four grand final winners taken to the stage at 8:30pm and the seven surprise guests performing after the final game of bingo finishes at 10:15pm.

Advanced reserve seating for the event is just £5 a ticket, and can be bought from the club. There will also be a few games of bingo played throughout the evening, with the first game starting at 7pm for a further £5.
