Police appeal after man stabbed in Ramsgate

The incident happened in Harbour Street

A man has been arrested  on suspicion of assault after a 21-year-old was stabbed in Ramsgate during the early hours of this morning (November 2)

Officers are appealing for information into the disturbance that happened in Harbour Parade shortly before 1.30am.

The victim reported that he was attacked after stepping in to break up an altercation between two other people.

He suffered an injury consistent with being stabbed. A witness said staff at The Goose pub helped to stem bleeding from a wound to the back of his head while waiting for medical help.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.

A 37-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and remains in custody.
