Thanet council is appealing for information after almost one tonne of stripped cable plastic was dumped at Westcliff Terrace Mansions in Ramsgate.
The culprits were caught on CCTV flytipping the load yesterday (October 30) at 2.20pm and council officers are appealing for help to identify them.
In an appeal the council said: “The same type of waste has also been discovered fly-tipped (and blocking) Greenfinch Mews in Ramsgate this afternoon.
A second large fly-tip of stripped cable plastic discovered this afternoon blocking Greenfinch Mews in Ramsgate. This is local business waste and residents dumping trade waste across our beautiful district. [email protected]. #pleasehelp # flytipping #crime pic.twitter.com/5BVaU7v2KX

“This is local business/trade waste being dumped across our beautiful district costing the council huge amounts of money to remove, not to mention a great deal of inconvenience for us to clear!
“Mail in confidence to [email protected] if you can assist the criminal investigation.”
I am sure the registration number would be visible, I believe that van came out of the Westwood industrial estate yesterday.
Camera’s are everywhere in Thanet ,have a look please council !!!.
If it’s stripped cable waste then they were obviously taking the metal/copper out, maybe the police should try the metal yards for a reg match. So many metal collectors around now.
