Man discovered with injuries in Birchington car park airlifted to hospital

A man has been airlifted to hospital after being found with injuries in a Birchington car park last night (October 2).

Paramedics and the air ambulance were called to the car park off Alfred Road at 7.30pm.

A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called shortly before 7.30pm last night (2 October) to reports a man had been found injured in a car park near Alfred Road.

“Ambulance crews attended the scene and were joined at the scene by the air ambulance service. The man was treated at the scene before being airlifted in a serious condition to St George’s Hospital in Tooting.”

The injuries were suffered during a medical incident.
