Crowds turned out yesterday (September 1) for the Cliftonville Games at the at Oval Lawns on Eastern Esplanade.
The event, organised by the Gordon Road Area Street Scheme (Grass) residents’ group, working with the Cliftonville Community Centre, offered free family fun, music, food and live music.
Amongst the bands and groups entertaining visitors were Veryfriendly and Margate Social Choir.
There were interactive activities including “Round in circles” doing a dance on the Oval stage to get everyone up and ready for the party.
Bargains could be found with more than 30 traders, selling vintage to upcycled furniture, street food and also a licensed bar.
Pooches competed in the Cliftonville Dog Show with some fantastic prizes from sponsors Hiro + Wolf designer dog wear and Doggie Apparel.
There were also races with prizes for the children as well as free fruit and lots of free inflatable bouncy castles to play on!
A small vintage cars and scooters show also took place on the day.
