Police appeal to track down man spotted on Cliftonville roof after burglary report

Police are investigating the whereabouts of a man who was spotted on the roof of a Cliftonville building following a report of a burglary yesterday (August 20).

Kent Police was called at 8.51pm to a report of a burglary at a property in Ethelbert Crescent.

The intruder was reported to have climbed scaffolding to gain access to the building and was later seen on the roof. Officers and the police helicopter attended but no trace of the man could be found.

Enquiries to establish the circumstances are ongoing but anyone with information is asked to phone Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting reference 20-1425.

  1. Police Helicopter…..what an utter waste of money. Here’s an idea, how about spending that money on putting real policemen on the streets!
