The final leg of the British Kitesurfing Championships is taking place this weekend. Today (August 18) there has been plenty of action on Ramsgate Main Sands.

Competitors have taken to the waves and there have been taster sessions on offer with the town’s Kite Pirates Kite School. There are also trade and info stalls on the lower prom.

Lewis Crathern, the current UK holder of the highest kitesurf jump record of  22.3 metres high which he set in Ramsgate in 2016, is competing .

Representatives from Active Ramsgate held talks to host the event ans are also sponsors,

The action continues tomorrow from 10am to 5pm.
