Police appeal following reported assault of woman in Minster

Kent Police is appealing for witnesses after a woman reported being assaulted in Minster yesterday (August 13).

At around 3pm  there was a disturbance involving a man and woman in Minster Road, near to the railway station.

It is believed the pair then got into separate silver cars and drove through Minster before stopping in Way Hill, just before 4pm. The woman reports she was assaulted at this point.

Officers attended the area and a 23-year-old man from Minster was arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been released on bail until Sunday, August 26.

Anyone who saw the disturbance near to the railway station, the two silver cars travelling in close proximity around Minster or the subsequent assault in Way Hill is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting reference 13-0854.
