Police are investigating after a member of staff was threatened with a gun at a store in Broadstairs.
The incident is said to have happened at the newsagents in George Hill Road shortly before 4.13pm today (August 9).
A man is reported to have threatened the staff member with a firearm before stealing money and running away.
Firearms officers were called to the scene.
Armed officers are currently (7.30pm) in the residential area around Gladstone Road, apparently carrying out a search.
