Police and ambulance called to Allenby Road crash

Emergency services have been called to a crash in Allenby Road, Ramsgate.

A driving school car ended up on its roof during the incident this afternoon (August 5).

The male driver suffered some cuts in the crash and was taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford to be checked over.

Nearby resident Catherine Avery said she heard a ‘horrendous bang’ and her husband Derek and son Enzo rushed out to see what had happened and if they could help.

She said: He had some nasty gashes. My son helped clean him up and kept talking to him whilst the ambulance came. My husband and son quickly grabbed high vis and slowed the traffic until police came.”

A Kent Police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at 3.06pm to a report of a car colliding with several parked vehicles in Allenby Road, Ramsgate.

“Officers attended along with Secamb and one man was taken to a local hospital to be treated for a injury to his arm. No offences were found to have been committed.”
