‘Mysterious Girl’ singer Peter Andre has been filming in Ramsgate today (July 30).

The Aussie presenter and singer was spotted on Ramsgate seafront, Military Arches, the Little Ships restaurant on Harbour Parade and by the boating pool.

He is thought to be filming for an episode of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip to be screened by BBC Two although this is yet to be confirmed.

Comedian Joe Pasquale was also on the shoot, tweeting about his day in Ramsgate.

Ramsgate resident Bob Keehner managed to get some up close shots when he came across filming at the Eastern Undercliff while on his regular walk.

He said: “There is a lot of filming in Thanet and sometimes it’s students from the local college, so I didn’t pay much attention. As I got nearer though I noticed the unmistakable Peter Andre.

“He was being filmed driving up in a lovely old Lotus classic and on exiting the car was being filmed along with his passenger greeting the occupants of an old classic Mini. During a lapse in filming I crept over and said “hello Pete.” He replied with “Hi” and put his hand out.

“I could feel the film crew wanted to finish the shoot so we shook hands and I told him “sorry for intruding but that I could not resist as my wife Claire loves you so much.”

“He grinned and simply said ‘No worries, it’s when people don’t bother any more that I’ve got a problem!” A class response from a class guy I thought. He was down to earth and found time for me even though he was working.

“Fair play to the film crew as they took the pictures of me with Peter. They probably wanted me gone to finish their filming before anyone else came along! My sister Jane is mad jealous as she’s loved him since he released his hit record Mysterious Girl.”

In the BBC programme antiques experts accompany celebrities on a road trip around the UK searching for treasures and competing to make the most money at auction.

STV Productions announced earlier this year that it had commissioned a new series of the show.
