Man knocked to the ground during Northdown Road surgery aggravated burglary

Kent Police is appealing for witnesses following a report of an aggravated burglary in Cliftonville where a man was knocked to the ground and suffered an injury to his head.

The incident happened at the dental surgery in Northdown Road at around 6am on Saturday (July 21) when the surgery was closed.

A man in his 20s was inside the building when intruders forced their way into the surgery via the back door.

The victim was knocked to the ground and when he came around the suspects had left.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Vanessa Law said: ‘We have been carrying out enquiries in order to establish the circumstances of the incident and determine whether anything has been stolen.

“We are also reviewing CCTV and forensic opportunities. In the meantime, anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or who has more information is urged to contact us as soon as possible.”
