Floats, fairground rides, a dog show and a host of fantastic characters have all featured in the Ramsgate carnival weekend.
Around 70 floats took part in the parade today (July 22) taking a circular route from Royal Esplanade to the seafront, town and back again.
The parade included everything from a ‘Plastic Isn’t Fantastic’ whale to majorettes, steel drummers, dancers, dogs, pub floats, carnival courts and marauding Saxons and isle character Maurice Morris on his bike!
Ramsgate photographers Brian Whitehead, Adam Dark and Malcolm Kirkaldie caught the action on camera and film.
An enormous thank you to everyone involved, from the tiniest majorette, boxer and footballer to those fabulous Bolivian dancers, and all those responsible for the paperwork! This resident loved it!
