Pupils at Drapers Mills Primary Academy in Margate have been to the polls to vote for who they wanted to represent them on the school’s leadership team.

Children from years 1 to 6 saw democracy in action when they cast their votes after listening to a number of prospective candidates share their reasons about why they would be a good choice as Head Boy or Girl.

Holly Sackett and Aston Rangeley were the successful candidates with Tya Boyce and Riley Jones being voted in as their deputies.

Head teacher Joe Manclark said: “I am proud of all candidates for showing the confidence to apply for the position and delighted with the successful candidates who will be an invaluable asset to the leadership team, showing the school values of Respect, Endeavour, Fairness, Leadership, Enjoyment, Contribution and Trust at all times.”
