Variety shows and outdoor cinema coming to Dreamland for Friday nights

Dreamland

Outdoor cinema and variety shows – including one with gunge – will take place at Dreamland on Friday nights.

The amusement park will screen three outdoor films in August, with the first film to be chosen by the public and a special anniversary showing of Titanic.

And Dave Benson Phillips will be bringing the gunge as he headlines the third Dreamland Variety Show with a live version of Get Your Own Back.

The park will open every Friday evening from July 27 until  August 31 with entertainment alternating between the Dreamland Variety Show; inspired by classic Saturday night TV shows and combining popular culture, game shows and cabaret, and the Dreamland Film Club; outdoor cinema screened in the centre of the amusement park.

Rebecca Ellis, Senior Creative Producer at Dreamland Margate, said: “Following the huge popularity of last year’s outdoor cinema screenings at Dreamland, we couldn’t wait to line-up some brilliant films for 2018. We’re particularly looking forward to finding out the result of the public vote for the first screening! There’s something fun happening every Friday at the park this summer, with a whole host of eclectic entertainment for all ages.”
