Live music, barbecues and fish suppers feature at Turner Contemporary’s cafe with the new season of Summer Weekend Late openings.

The café has teamed up with official wine partner Chapel Down for the late opening events from now through to the end of August.

Fish Supper Fridays
Every Friday evening when the fresh catch of the day will be served. Food service will be from 6.30pm-9.30pm.

Saturday Summer Sessions
On Saturdays, enjoy a barbecue and live music on the terrace. The café will be serving their signature Turner Burger, award winning sausages from J & H butchers, lamb burgers, and vegan burgers, as well as pulled pork rolls with apple or BBQ sauce. Food service will be from 6pm-9pm.

Catering manager Lisa Gillam said: “We have teamed up with Chapel Down, the official wine partner of the gallery, to create a pop up bar for our terrace every Friday and Saturday night. It sells all the Chapel Down classic products as well as bespoke cocktails with their gin and vodka.

“Friday night’s we are open for fish supper, keeping it simple with the freshest catch of the day and one of our delicious vegan options and Saturday night is Summer sessions where we have our barbecue out on the terrace and live music every week.”
