Police appeal after man stabbed in Margate

A man in his 20s was stabbed in Margate in the early hours of this morning (June 14)

Police were called at 1.49am to Addington Street where a man was being treated for injuries by the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

The victim suffered a wound to his stomach consistent with a stabbing. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Officers believe the assault took place in Addington Street near to King Street and are appealing for information.

Detective Inspector David Cox said: “We believe that a light-coloured car pulled up alongside the man just before he was assaulted. The victim then cycled along Addington Street briefly before calling an ambulance.
