Applications invited for The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts

Youngsters at the Pauline Quirke Academy

Applications are being invited for a scholarship programme with The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts, which has a site in Broadstairs.

Successful applicants will be awarded a full, year-long scholarship which will cover the cost of their weekly tuition fees, uniform, additional masterclasses and group Trinity College London examinations. Successful individuals will receive £1,056 worth of help, with the overall value of PQA’s 2018 scholarship standing at nearly £180,000.

The aim is to make performing arts education accessible to all, regardless of ability or previous experience.

Head Principal Pauline Quirk said: “I started PQA in 2007 with my husband Steve. Fast forward to 2018 and we now have over 170 Academies UK wide offering our unique performing arts experience to young people. This makes me so proud, as some of my happiest memories as a child were attending Theatre School.”

Applications are open until June 26. The Pauline Quirk Academy in Broadstairs is at the Charles Dickens School with various sessions held every Saturday.
