Officers are keeping an open mind as to whether the reports are linked.

Inspector Lara Connor of the Thanet Community Safety Unit said: “Enquiries are ongoing into each report and we would ask anyone with information about them, to call us.

“Meanwhile, don’t forget to ensure all doors and windows are kept secure if you are not near them.

“Lock away any tools or garden items which could be stolen or used to break into your home.

“Consider installing alarms or CCTV and get your valuable property like computers and phones security-marked, as it will make it very hard for any criminals to sell on.”
