Young people from Ramsgate have been working with Project MotorHouse to create a photographic display of the town.

Portrait of Ramsgate will be on display at McGillan and Woodell at 43 Queen Street in Ramsgate, from Thursday (June 7).

The opening night is from 6pm to 8pm and people are invited to go along to enjoy a glass of wine and maybe buy a photograph. If you can’t make the opening, the exhibition runs until Wednesday, June 13 during normal shop hours.

Project MotorHouse CEO Janet Fielding said: “The quality of the photographs was so good, we felt the youths had to have an exhibition and McGillan and Woodell have kindly made their gallery available.“

Some of the images are going to be used to create more panels for the hoardings around the Pleasurama site on Ramsgate’s Main Sands. “We did 15 panels for the site last year and people kept asking us to do more, so we have,” said Project MotorHouse’s Jo Mapp.

A Big Lottery Awards for All grant made the project possible.
