
A Margate man charged with murder has appeared in court.
Officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate charged Trevor Brazier, 48-years-old, of Northdown Road, with the murder of man of no fixed address who is confirmed to be 38-years-old.
Kent Police was called to Mr Brazier’s home at around 6am on Saturday, 2 June. A 38-year-old man was treated by South East Coast Ambulance Service for serious injuries and taken to hospital where he later died.
A post-mortem to confirm the cause of death is expected to take place on Thursday 7 June.
Mr Brazier was arrested at the scene at 6.28am on Saturday 2 June. He was charged with murder on Sunday 3 June and appeared in Medway Magistrates Court via video link on Monday 4 June. He was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday 6 June.
Due to previous contact at the address Kent Police has self-referred the incident to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
