The Windmill Community Gardens in Margate is holding a free strawberry fair event today (June 1).
Aimed at the whole family, it is open from noon to 3pm at the community gardens at the corner of Dane Valley Road and College Road.
There will be a variety of tasty and chemical free fruit and vegetables to try and buy or people can sign up to weekly chemical free vegetable bags,
Activities planned include bug hunting, bouncy castle slide, story telling, magician, and pond dipping as well as a range of stalls from local groups and organisations.
This event will also have the launch of the Forest Garden, an innovative planting technique where every layer of the canopy comprises of edible plants.
