A teenager is in custody following a police chase in Ramsgate during the early hours of this morning (May 21).
Kent Police was first called at 6.10pm yesterday to a report that a car had collided with a stationary vehicle in Kilbride Court, Ramsgate. The driver left the scene.
The car was later seen in Haine Road at 1.45am today and did not stop when requested by patrols. The vehicle was pursued to London Road, where it crashed into a brick wall.
An 18-year-old man from Ramsgate was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving with no insurance, drug driving, taking a vehicle without consent and failing to stop for police.
He remains in custody.
