
Emergency services were called to a road incident in Cliftonville this morning (May 16) after a man was hit by a car.
Northdown Road was blocked in both directions near Wyndham Avenue junction while police and ambulance were at the scene.
A man suffered head injuries and was taken to hospital.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “Police were called to Northdown Road at 11am following a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
“The pedestrian, a man in his 50s, sustained a head injury in the incident. He was taken to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment.”
The road was reopened at 11.43am.
