Two teens arrested after four people assaulted at Viking Bay

Two teenagers have been arrested over an assault in Broadstairs where four people were injured.

Kent Police was called to a disturbance in Harbour Street at 3.37pm on Sunday, May 6.

It was reported a group of people were involved in an altercation on the beach by Viking Bay before they dispersed into surrounding streets.

Police attended the scene and a man in his 20s was found with an injury to his face. He attended a local hospital as a precaution.

Following enquiries, it was reported a further three men had been assaulted during the incident, one of which, a man in his 50s, had suffered cuts and bruises to his face.

Two 18-year-old men from Rochester were arrested, one for affray and the other for assault.

They have been released on police bail until May 18 pending further enquiries.
