Thanet bands and musicians have picked up gongs at the Giggles-Ent awards.
The Thanet-based promotions group gives a platform to local bands and small businesses.
The awards, held in Deal, included honours for Thanet band Collateral – formerly Angelo Tristan band – Margate group Solar Nineties and, from Ramsgate, musician Oscar Saunders and band Dirty Channel.
John Waller, from Giggles-Ent, said: “The night turned out to be quite successful. We had many local winners. Giggles-Ent helps promote and support local bands, radio stations and small local businesses.

“We try to cover the whole of Kent, but we are based in Thanet. We have run a free promotional group on many different media platforms. Our most popular is our Facebook page and it’s run on a favour for a favour basis and really does work.”

Live music on the night was performed by Oscar Saunders, Trash Mammoth, Splink and Collateral.

Nice to see someone helping the community in a whole for FREE. Not many people would be bothered or care enough to do anything like this. I wish Giggles-Ent many more years of success they obviously found something that works good for them.
