Ramsgate mayor Trevor Shonk has been elected to the role once again – for the fourth year running.
Cllr Shonk and deputy mayor Cllr Barbara Young were voted into post at a meeting of Ramsgate Town Council last night (April 2).
The Thanet Independent Councillor – formerly UKIP – is a well-known figure in the town. His ‘out and about’ photos and videos on social media are now a common sight.
He said: “In my 3 years as mayor I have taken 29,000 photos on my iPad to create a social history of Ramsgate.
“Last night I told councillors that we now have one year left to make something happen for Ramsgate.”
The former Hereson student is a town and district councillor.
