Sixty new jobs are being created at Discovery Park in Sandwich with the addition of six new tenants and the expansion of three existing businesses.

New tenants at Discovery Park include Invicta Health Community Interest Company, which is bringing 25 new jobs in total to site. Formed by a group of GPs working in Canterbury and East Kent, their aim is to provide high quality services for local people by collaborating with other organisations in the health and social care community.

Another new tenant is newspaper publisher Trinity Mirror Group, which is bringing 22 jobs to the park.

Exroid Technology is a science and tech company offering pioneering electrotherapy treatment to those suffering from haemorrhoids. Their move onsite will create an additional 6 jobs for the park.

Discovery Park also provides a Start Up Zone – an area where tenants are able to rent as little office space as just one single desk, if required.

One new tenant starting in the zone is Ezoboard UK – a leading specialist in the field of design-led interior acoustical treatments. Ezobord is an acoustic panel that provides creative solutions for recording and broadcast studios, home theaters, classrooms, hospitality and office spaces.

Elsewhere on site, other tenants are extending their lease – and growing their office space and team size. Key recent expansions include Digital Automation (a printing solutions supplier), A4P Bio (bioanalysis and logistics company) and Project Fusion (high security file sharing and collaboration).

Discovery Park offers office and laboratory space with more than 3,000 people currently employed at the site. Companies range from science research and education facilities to the businesses that support them – such as recruitment firms, marketing companies and accountants.

Lauren Moore from Discovery Park’s Investment Team, said: “Discovery Park is Kent’s global science and business park, with world class facilities that has helped to make this site a magnet for businesses of all sizes.

“It’s a place where you can arrive with an idea and know that you can access the right support, the right collaborative environment and the right space to grow – from a small desk or one man office right up to European headquarters or UK production facility.

“Our new arrivals are at the start of their journey; while those expanding are seeing the benefits of being located here. They join us at an exciting time in Discovery Park’s development and we wish them and all our tenants every future success.”
