Retailer Homesense will be opening within the TK Maxx shop at Westwood Cross next month.
The homeware firm has created 20 new jobs and will open on the first floor of the TK Maxx site at 9am on May 17.
A spokesperson for Homesense said: “We are delighted to be moving in with TK Maxx and opening our first store in Thanet. The new store is our 56th in the UK and we look forward to welcoming shoppers and helping them discover a huge range of extraordinary to everyday homeware for less”.
The brand offers savings of up to 60% off homeware and gifts, including gourmet cookware, to furniture, lighting and decorative items.
Francesca Donovan, centre manager at Westwood Cross, said: “We are delighted to be evolving our homeware offer. Homesense will bring something new to the centre, with an eclectic mix of products to allow customers to refresh their homes and gardens for less.
“The buyers travel the world to ensure stock is constantly unique and we know customers at Westwood Cross will love it!”
So where will all the TK Maxx stock from upstairs be put as it’s already crammed on the ground floor which makes it great for clothes shopping. If things there are reduced then they will lose shoppers, so it might not be good for TK Maxx.
It’s because the rent is so high. Smyths is going into Matalan too.
HomeSense is owned by TK Maxx so it won’t make a difference actually Carole 🙂
home sense is a tk maxx homeware store so they’ll just combine stock
